Gentle Cleanser for Sunburns

It’s summer and our fingers are crossed that you are wearing your sun protection. If you’re prone to sun exposure or have a sunburn, be sure to use a mild cleanser. Frequent sun exposure is a time when you should avoid deep cleansers, exfoliators or anything that may irritate the skin.

Abella is located in South Florida and minutes from the beach. We know the importance of formulating a product gentle enough to use after being in the sun.

4 reasons why Dual Cleanser is sun-friendly:

  • Contains ingredients like cucumber, aloe, and bisabolol, a counter irritant found in chamomile to calm and hydrate the skin.
  • Doesn’t contain alcohol, as alcohol slows down the healing process.
  • It’s mild and won’t exfoliate - you should avoid exfoliating 5 days before & after being in the sun, as it's compromised.
  • No “caines”. According to the AAD*, you should not treat sunburn with products that end in “-caine” (such as benzocaine), as these may irritate the skin or cause an allergic reaction.
