Something exciting is in the works at Abella as we refresh formulas, elevate packaging, and prepare for a new chapter.
1 — Product Status
Over the past few months, we’ve been transitioning several of our formulas to new, improved versions.
During this process, we officially ran out of our previous batches of ColorShade (all tints) and Cellution C. These items are currently on backorder until the new formulations are approved.
2 — Regulations
Sunscreen in the U.S. is classified as an Over-the-Counter drug because it prevents skin cancer.
While many countries classify sunscreen as a cosmetic, the U.S. holds it to a much higher level of testing and regulation.
These requirements, combined with current tariff delays on packaging, have extended the timeline more than we anticipated.
3 - Next Steps
As a small but mighty brand with over 25 years in the industry, we are pushing through every challenge with determination, integrity, and care.
We’re working hand-in-hand with new chemists to reformulate with elevated ingredients and with our design studio to redesign packaging and branding.
We want to extend our gratitude for your continued support and patience during this transition to new and improved products.
We’re not going anywhere — and the next chapter of Abella will be our best yet!
Sincerely,
Eliana Belmonte
