Cellution C™

Cellution C™

Topical Vitamin C Serum

Contains 12% Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), the most stable form of Vitamin C on the market today. Recent new technology for stabilizing high concentrations of L-ascorbic acid, as in Abella's Cellution C 12% L-ascorbic Acid, have made it possible to deliver more vitamin C into the skin topically than ever before. Vitamin C provides many essential benefits to the skin such as:

  • Protects against UV radiation free radical damage
  • Reduces erythema (redness)
  • Stimulates collagen production improving skin tone and elasticity
  • Helps control inflammation
  • Promotes wound healing -Prevents UV immunosupression & DNA mutation of skin cells which may lead to cancer formation Remember, the benefits of vitamin C should not be limited to the face and neck, but should be applied the entire body by mixing a full dropper with your favorite body lotion.
  • Our unique base, Glycerin, an emollient moisturizer maintains the epidermal barrier.

How Does L-Ascorbic Acid Improve Skin

Ascorbic Acid (AA), also known as vitamin C is one of the most important antioxidants found in biological fluids.  AA acts as an antioxidant by scavenging and quenching free radicals generated after UV exposure, tobacco smoke and other environmental processes.  The generation of free radicals contributes to photoaging and photocarcinogenesis by producing DNA mutations.  Daily intake of vitamin C is very important to maintain an adequate level in the blood, since AA is not synthesized in the body.  Although hydrophilic, AA has a very high permeation rate in the skin. ....

AA promotes collagen synthesis providing suppleness and elasticity to the skin.  It has been shown that AA is essential for the formation and function of collagen.  It is also shown that AA acts as an anti-inflammatory against sunburn.  Vitamin C inhibits the enzyme Tyrosinase, allowing it to act as whitening agents (Tyrosinase is a rate-regulating enzyme, responsible for the production of melanin).  Unfortunately, AA although readily soluble in water, is rapidly oxidized on exposure to air.  We postulate that a stable ascorbic acid solution could be the next skin care generation to fight against environmental and age related damage to the skin. Directions: Dab a drop onto fingertip. Apply to face, neck, and other dry areas with gentle strokes. Only a few drops are needed. Allow to penetrate the skin for a few minutes before applying any other product(s). Note: We have received feedback from our consumers that they like to apply the Cellution C with damp hands directly to the skin. Another recommendation was to mix with your favorite moisturizer. (Cellution C is water-soluble)
