Why is our vitamin C better than its competitors?

Topical Vitamin C is one of the most important antioxidant. It aids in healing by interfering with the damaging effect of free radicals causing skin damage and premature aging. Vitamin C stimulates collagen production. However, not all Vitamin C formulations can produce these benefits. Studies show that in order to be effective, a Vitamin C formulation must contain several precise characteristics. They are as follows:

  • L-Ascorbic Acid, which is the only form of Vitamin C that can be absorbed by the body.
  • Must contain at least 10% concentration on Vitamin C.
  • Must be stable. Vitamin C is known to be highly unstable especially in its purest form of L-Ascorbic Acid.
  • Many formulations use higher concentrations of Vitamin C. But oxidizes as soon as exposed to air. In other words making the product uneffective after oxidation occurs.
  • Glycerin based formulations such as our Cellution C have the capacity to prevent freezing (temperature changes) and promote product shelf life. Glycerin increases the degree of hydration within the skin. Glycerin is a natural product recognized by the skin penetrating the epidermis effectively.
